Selected definitions from Idaho Code Title 73 (Rules of Construction) and cross-cutting provisions.

Person : Includes a corporation as well as a natural person. Idaho Code § 73-114.

State : When applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories. Idaho Code § 73-114.

County : Includes a county, city, or other local governmental entity as applicable. Idaho Code § 73-114.

Shall / May : “Shall” is mandatory; “may” is permissive. Idaho Code § 73-102.

Written / In Writing : Includes printing, typewriting, and all other methods of recording symbols or letters. Idaho Code § 73-114.

Oath : Includes affirmation; “sworn” includes “affirmed.” Idaho Code § 73-114.

Month : Means a calendar month, unless otherwise expressed. Idaho Code § 73-114.
